London’s Christmas Markets and Fayres
2. London’s Christmas Markets and Fayres
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire……. London’s Christmas Markets and Fayres usually contain the traditional Victorian features- mulled wine, Christmas Carols and Christmas Trees decorated with baubles and garlands. Chelsea has its own traditional Christmas Fayres held at the Chelsea Psychic Garden at the end of November and at Chelsea Christmas Gift Fair, held at Chelsea Town Hall on the first weekend of December. However, for something rather more modern, wrap up warm and head from Chelsea to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, just a short walk away.
Boasting over 100 rides and attractions suitable for all the family from Santa’s Grotto and delicious food stalls to the 200 enchanting fairy lit wooden chalets in the Angels Christmas Market selling handicrafts and traditional Christmas decorations, there’s plenty to see and do for all ages.
Entrance is free but tickets are required for popular attractions such as the ice skating, Magical Ice Kingdom, Zippos Circus, Giant Observation Wheel and Bar Ice.
